Grande Rocques Fort
Constructed in the late 1700’s on the western shore of Guernsey, in the Parish of Castel, the battery was armed with three 24 pounder guns and was co-located with a powder store. The battery was further fortified during the German occupation of 1940 making up part of the strategic coastal defenses.
